BIG WORDS, SMALL STORIES SET FOR CO-PRODUCTION!
Big Jump Entertainment, Moody Street Kids and Telegael are set to co-produce Big Words, Small Stories. The animated series will focus on small stories that will enlighten kids to the meaning of BIG words through funny and delightfully, clever storytelling. Told through the eyes of a revolving cast of four kids and their anthropomorphic pets, each episode sprinkles a big word into these kids’ lives – be it ‘regurgitate’, ‘collywobbles’, ‘brouhaha’ – via a hard-working Sprinkle Fairy and her staff, the candy-like Sprinklers. Children within the story and the audience at home, walk away with their vocabularies a little bit bigger and a whole lot sillier.
The series is based on the books Created-Authored by Judith Henderson and Illustrated by T.L. McBeth. The three-book series is published by Corus’ Kids Can Press.
Quotes From Producers:
“When Judith Henderson introduced Big Jump to Big Words, Small Stories, we knew it was going to work wonderfully for kid’s TV. It educates through the best possible method – silliness – while giving children the opportunity to out-smart their parents. What kid doesn’t want to do that?!” responds Rick Morrison
“MSK is very excited to be a part of this gorgeous little series at a time when kids are reading less and need as much encouragement as possible to find the joy in language and the written word.” Says Gill Carr
